Patterson Vance Coffey

The Patterson Vance Coffey that I am currently researching was a son of Calvin and Mary Greene Coffey. He was born c1845 in North Carolina, and married Nancy Martisha Estes on Dec. 24, 1868 in Caldwell Co., NC.1

There are apparently two Patterson Vance Coffeys who were born around the same time. One Confederate service record shows that one of them enlisted in Co. E, 58th Inf. Regiment on Feb. 6, 1864, and was on the rolls of that unit on Aug. 31, 1864.

There is also a record for a Patterson V. Coffey who enlisted in Co. D, 1st North Carolina Cavalry Regiment on Sep. 20, 1863.
