Ira E. Coffey

Ira was another son of Jason and Rachel Corder Coffey. He was born Jul., 1855 in Indiana and married Hester Jane Manners, a daughter of Nickolas and Esta Manners, on Jan. 5, 1879 in Owen Co., IN. Hester was born in Apr., 1860 in Indiana. Ira's middle name may have been Enos.

I know of three children:

Ora Pearl, born Dec., 1880, married Samuel Ephriam Bruner on Nov. 17, 1901 in Owen Co.

Irvin Roy, born Jun. 19, 1888 in Owen Co., married Jessie Edith Long on Dec. 2, 1906 in Greene Co., IN. Two known children were: Emil, born Apr. 21, 1910 and Mildred, born c1913, both in Indiana. The family was found in Monroe Co., IN in the 1910 census and, the Sullivan Co., IN census for the year 1920. Irvin registered for the WW1 draft in Monroe Co. on Jun. 15, 1917. He was described then as being of medium build and height with blue eyes and auburn hair. He was 28 years old and employed as a machinest in Bloomington, IN.

Theodosia Olive, born May 1891 in Indiana, married Vada (?) Alexander Swaney.
