Ester V. Dalton was a daughter of Colby and Victoria Greenlee Dalton, born Jan. 16, 1870 in Grainger Co., TN. As Ester V., she was married to Thomas L. Parsons in Grainger Co. on Dec. 12, 1887. Esther died in Knoxville, Knox Co., TN on Dec. 27, 1927 and buried there at Woodlawn Cemetery under the name Hettie U. Dalton [carved in stone]! Her death certificate reports her as "Esther V. Parsons (Mrs. T. L.)."
