This obit appeared in the Tacoma-Seattle News Tribune today:
"Gladys E. Coffey 1918-2012 Moved to Tacoma in 1961. Worked 33 years for the Bell telephone. Married 59 yrs to Norman A. Survived by son Dennis and daughter in law Sandy, and grandson Chris."
It is just one example of the few hundred similarly written obituaries that I view every month from all over the US.
Do relatives just not care?
Or, have obits become too expensive to publish anything more than a blurb?
Either way, it's sinful!
