"Frank Coffey was one of the sons of my grt-grandfather, Charles Mozer Coffey. Charles “Charlie” ran the Carolina & Northwestern Railroad company out of Granite Falls NC. It was a short line that ran from Lenoir NC to Chester SC that hauled mostly timber until it later became a passenger track. The line is abandoned now. Frank worked at the RR with Charlie as a mechanic and eventually took over for his dad running the place. Frank later worked for the famous Tweetsie RR as their VP of Operations and chief Engineer.
