Creed Edgar Coffey (1888-1945)

Creed Edgar Coffey was a son of Henry Aquilla Coffey and Nannie Belle Briscoe.  He was born 18 Jun 1888 in Grainger Co., TN and died 15 Feb 1945 in Nebraska.  He was buried at Phillips Cemetery in Phillips, Hamilton Co.,NC. Click here to see his Find A Grave Memorial.

He appears to have been married twice.  His first wife was Alla Belva Folger to whom he was married on 15 Feb 1910 in Alfalfa Co., OK.  She was born 15 Feb 1887 in OK and died 19 Oct 1970 in Winfield, Cowley Co., KS.  Her memorial can be viewed here.

The couple had at least two children, Creed E. (Junior?) born 1911 in Nebraska, died 1982 in Kansas. His Find A Grave memorial can be viewed here. He was married on 11 Apr 1933 to Anna V. Randolph in Kay Co., OK. She was born in 1914 Missouri and died 1975 in Kingman Co., KS. Her burial site memorial can be viewed at Find A Grave. His sibling, Alla Marie Coffey was born in 1934 at Washunga, Kay Co., OK and died 4 Feb 2010 in Sedgwick Co., KS.  See her memorial here. I question the accuracy of her birth date given the 23 year difference between her and her brother.

Creed, Sr. married a second time to Honor Kinnamon but I have not yet found a marriage record.  She and Creed are named parents of Janet in the marriage record for Janet's marriage to C. Rex Latta in Grand Island, Hall Co., NE on 22 Jun 1957. Honor was born in Jul 1892 in IA and died 20 May 1968 in Hamilton Co., NE.

Update:  Almost before the "ink dried" on this blog, I received notes from Gerald Dickinson clearing up my confusion.

Alla Marie, born 1934, was the daughter of Creed, Jr. and Anna V. Randolph Coffey.
