Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

The Future of this Blog

I have labored over halting this blog and deleting it.  Instead of deleting, several readers have suggested that I make it private.

I will do that in February, 2014!

My purpose for creating this blog some nine years ago was an effort to correct many of the poorly assembled Edward Coffey/Ann Powell genealogies floating around the internet.  Hopefully, it has somewhat accomplished that.  To delete all of that work now would not be in the best interest of those who still take their family research seriously and, obtain some use of this work.

If you are now a regular reader and want to remain one after the blog goes private, you only have to send an e-mail with a verifiable e-mail address and I will put you on the reader's list.  There will never be any spam from me.  Your address will only be used to allow access to this blog.

Thanks to a number of readers who wrote to tell me how much they had been helped by the blog and how disappointed they were it was going away.

We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Good tidings we bring to you and your kin;
Good tidings for Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Oh, bring us a figgy pudding;
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding;
Oh, bring us a figgy pudding and a cup of good cheer
We won'
t go until we get some;
We won't go until we get some;
We won't go until we get some, so bring some out here

We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas;
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
