Coffey Swamp is located in Wisconsin, on Washington Island.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who can tell me for which Coffey this swamp was named.

Hi! I believe its likely to be Thomas or Timothy Coffey of Washington Island or their descendants (Mary Coffey, Thomas' daughter is my great grandmother). Thomas and Timothy were brothers and original settlers in the Irish Village on Washington Island.
